Initial FEMA reports come in from Hurricane Irma destruction

Initial reports are coming in from FEMA, assessing the damage Hurricane Irma levied against the State of Florida and Caribbean islands.  According to officials an estimated 25 percent of homes in the Florida Keys were destroyed.  An estimated 9.5 million people remain without power in Florida, just under half of the state’s population and an estimated 110,00 people remain in shelters as of Wednesday.  12 people were killed in Florida while four died in South Carolina, two in Georgia and at least 37 in the Caribbean.
