Aberdeen, SD - On Monday, January 9, 2012, Aberdeen Livestock Sales will be hosting a special auction that will be an opportunity to give back to troops that have served overseas. The All American Beef Battalion will be auctioning off a heifer calf, donated by Bob and Renee Swisher and son Travis of Groton, SD at 12:00 Noon and all money from the auction will be used to serve beef to troops and their families.
The All American Beef Battalion is a charity organization consisting of individuals and families that are part of the U.S. beef cattle industry and work to provide support for troops and their families. Some of the organizations main events are steak feeds where soldiers and family members are served a 16 to 18 ounce ribeye steak. Similar auctions have been held throughout the country with the calf being sold multiple times. 100% of the funds are used to purchase supplies and steaks because the All American Beef Battalion is a strictly volunteer organization.

During the past year, we've become aware of the great work done by the AABB in feeding our troops' hearts with support and respect, while feeding their bodies with outstanding beef. We appreciate the vision of the organization and want to further support the group by donating the proceeds from one of our heifers in Monday’s sale.”
